POV1.5 Helmet Camera Kit - Red Head

The VIO POV1.5 is the latest offering from VIO - it uses the same high quality recording unit that is used with the POV1 and comes with a different camera head and accessories package. The new "Red Head" is shorter than that the POV1 camera head and is permanently attached to the 1.5 metre digital cable.

The POV1.5 comes pre-loaded with the firmware upgrade that allows you to use up to an 8GB Sd card and the POV1.5 comes with its own 4GB SD card, which will hold 3 hours of footage on the highest quality settings.

Mounting options are also different with the POV1.5 - you get the new Star Mount which can be used for helmet mounting, as well as hat mounting using the supplied magnets. A Double Hook and Loop Mount is included to allow mounting to vented helmet mounts and small diameter tubes.

The high quality 720 x 480 resolution recording of the POV1 means that you can watch your videos back on a big screen TV. You can hook the POV1.5 up directly to your TV or download the videos onto your computer. The POV1.5 also has a variable sensitivity microphone, which means that you can adjust the sound recording level to suit your application.

The POV1.5 kit comes with a 110 degree Wide Angle Head as standard. The wide angle head mimics your own field of view, so that the camera sees what you see. The POV1.5 records onto SD memory cards, so there are no moving parts. The POV1.5 will take up to a 8GB card, which will give 6 hours of continuous recording on the highest quality settings.

To top it all off, the POV1.5, including the camera and recording unit, is completely waterproof and rated to 1m for 30 minutes continual submersion.

The POV1.5 is packed full of features, yet it is easy to use. The simple interface allows you to set-up the POV1.5 to suit your needs and makes recording a breeze. The recording unit has a keylock feature so that you can be confident it records when you want.

The wireless remote allows you to control your recording without having to see the recording unit. Stop and start recording and also tag your clips. The tag function bookmarks your clips so that you can go right to the action when you get it home.

You can watch your clips back on the colour LCD screen and also use it to ensure you get the perfect camera angle every time.

The POV1.5 runs on 4 x AA batteries and will run for 4-5 hours on a set of average rechargeable batteries. For those wanting more power, you can use Li-Ion batteries which will give over 10 hours.
